Responsibilities


Objective

Under the direct supervision of the Program Manager, the Print Production Coordinator works closely with the Marketing Communications team and internal and external partners to execute the printing and mailing of Moody Bible Institute’s direct mail program and other mass communication efforts.

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for the production of direct mail for multiple interest areas, including data selects and transfers, personalization, monthly support letters, receipt letters, fulfillment letters for each program.
  • Ensure high print standards are met via quality control, quality assurance, and compliance with postal regulations.
  • Collaborate with Marketing Communications team, outside vendors, and external consultants to produce various projects.
  • Partner with other internal departments to ensure the correct setup of all out-going coding structures and their corresponding data input.
  • Lead request for quote (RFQ) process with multiple vendors for various print pieces and programs.
  • Write purchase orders, gather project information, obtain proof approvals from parties involved in particular projects, and communicate clearly re: status, execution outcome and follow-up to parties involved
  • Through experience and testing, seek ways to continually reduce all costs for direct mail programs for increased effectiveness and ROI.
  • Manage an annual budget and maintain ongoing communication with the Program Manager to remain under budget for each project.
  • Support the Program Manager in the creation of tracking codes for all fundraising communications.
  • Produce reports for project status, and marketing or financial analysis as requested.
  • Perform related and special project assistance as needed.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Two or more years of work experience buying print, with knowledge of digital and off set print processes
  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects at a time and meet deadlines, while paying strict attention to detail
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Handles stressful situations and deadline pressures well, with a willingness to flex as needed
  • Confidence in working with an array of personalities, at all levels of the organization
  • Willingness to receive direction and feedback, and make changes as needed
  • Authorized to work in the US legally without sponsorship

Preferred Requirements

  • Proficiency with database software such as Peoplesoft
  • Experience with direct mail print management
  • Experience with project management software such as Workamajig
  • Four or more years of work experience

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.

Hours: Monday – Friday, 38.75 hours per week

Limited travel is expected for this position.
