Sacred Circle Healthcare is seeking a full-time, Practice Manager - Optical, in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Job Summary

  • Overview: An Optical Practice Manager is a highly engaged leader that motivates a high performing team to create a friendly and professional patient and staff environment, while maintaining and meeting all goals and commitments. The manager displays outstanding knowledge of optics and possesses the ability to help people obtain their best vision while suggesting styles based on their preference and current trends.

  • Work Schedule: To Be Determined with the availability of 8:00 am – 6:00 pm Monday through Friday. Evening and weekend work may be required as needed.

The successful candidate:

  • Plans, develops, organizes, implements, and directs the day-to-day functions of the practice and its programs and activities to ensure compliance, efficiency, and patient satisfaction.
  • Conveys a customer-centric approach to customer service through leading staff performance, coaching, inspiring and developing staff to deliver unsurpassed Customer Service.
  • Works and oversees the Optometrist to ensure the highest standard of patient care and workflow efficiency.
  • Approves optometrists PTO and schedule blocks.
  • Targets, sets, monitors, and drives the business forward.
  • Identifies strategy for practice growth and executes plans to achieve practice, productivity, and budgeted goals.
  • Monitors all aspects of practice operations, provides on the-job-training and support to team members using all core philosophies.
  • Analyzes practice financial data and makes recommendations regarding next steps to optimize overall practice profitability.
  • Ensures overall compliance relating to billing, staff behaviors, and HIPAA compliance.
  • Performs duties related to product management, inventory management, and cost of goods.
  • Performs consistent staff evaluations, conducts performance management, and delivers team trainings.
  • Works on special projects and perform other related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Requirements:

  • EDUCATION: An associate or bachelor’s degree in business, optometry, or a related field.
  • EXPERIENCE: Minimum of two (2) years of optical management or industry-related experience.

Preferred Requirements:
  • EXPERIENCE: Two (2) or more years in the optometry field. Two (2) or more years of leadership experience.
  • CERTIFICATION/LICENSE: Active status as Certified Ophthalmic Assistant or greater level of certification preferred. Or Certification by American Board of Opticianry.

  • Ability to work independently and set priorities under minimal supervision.
