Under administrative direction, uses extensive knowledge and skills obtained through education and experience to act as a primary or secondary contact for institutional clients, monitoring portfolio performance and operational activities while maintaining strong relationships with clients. Works independently or as a team on assignments that are broad in nature requiring some originality and ingenuity with appreciable latitude for un-reviewed decisions or recommendations. Extensive contact is required with internal and external clients, as well as senior management, to identify, research, and resolve complex issues.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serves as a contact for clients, researching and answering requests and questions.
  • Performs quarterly/annual visits for client reviews to discuss portfolio strategy and activities.
  • In conjunction with Client Portfolio Manager, monitors client portfolio performance for under or out-performance and/or dispersion.
  • Develops story line for marketing and presentations
  • Travels extensively with Eagle Retail, Institutional, National accounts and RIA salesforce as a product specialist.
  • Participates in initiatives within the department related to strategy, direction and service offerings.
  • Assists in marketing products to retail and institutional constituencies as needed.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of:

  • Company’s working structure, policies, mission and strategies.
  • Fundamental concepts, principles and practices used in the securities industry.
  • Fundamental concepts, principles and practices of relationship management.
  • Investment product management and investment consulting experience.
  • Financial markets and products.

Skill in:

  • Interpreting and applying policies and procedures.
  • Preparing management reports.
  • Identifying trends and implementing appropriate corrective action.
  • Operating standard office equipment and using required software application to produce correspondence, reports, electronic communication, and spreadsheets.

Ability to:

  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with all organizational levels, including senior management.
  • Organize, manage and track multiple detailed tasks and assignments with frequently changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced work environment with frequent interruptions.
  • Balance conflicting resource and priority demands.
  • Partner with other functional areas to accomplish objectives.
  • Work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the organization, including negotiating resources.

Educational/Previous Experience Recommendations:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) in Finance or related field and a minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience in the financial services industry.

  • Any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training approved by Human Resources.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) preferable or ability to obtain within three years of hire.
