SUMMARY:

  • Provides a clean, healthy, and safe environment for customers and employees.
  • Maintains good customer service with customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment. Performs duties in compliance with safety procedures, which includes use of safety equipment.
  • Follows safety procedures, identifying unsafe practices or conditions and informing their supervisor.
  • Maintains all required Hazardous Products/MSDS information sheets.
  • Maintains good public relations with customers and employees while enhancing safety and providing customer service to customers.
  • Cleans, sanitizes, and maintains assigned area of casino.
  • Cleans, sweeps, and/or mops all hallways, as needed.
  • Removes all trash on a continuous basis throughout the casino.
  • Operates and maintains various cleaning equipment.
  • Cleans, polishes, waxes, dusts and maintains all woodwork, windows, wall fixtures, and televisions, as scheduled or requested.
  • Cleans and polishes, all slot machines and bases.
  • Performs other duties, including special projects, as needed and directed.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty cheerfully, satisfactorily and in a timely manner. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • High school graduate or equivalent; three-to-six month’s related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Able to read, comprehend, and interpret simple instructions, correspondence, memos, and documents such as safety rules, operating manuals and procedures and maintenance instructions.
  • Able to write routine simple correspondence.
  • Able to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests and Employees.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

  • Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in small units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY:

  • Able to apply common sense, patience and understanding while carrying out detailed written and/or oral instructions.
  • Able to deal with and present problem-solving ideas that involves concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • Colorado Gaming License is preferred but not required.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:

  • Strong guest service skills and the ability to ask questions and apply deductive reasoning and listening skills are essential.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Using and viewing a computer screen on a daily basis is mandatory.

  • Must be able to psychologically handle the concept of persons occupying an establishment for the purpose of gambling, drinking, eating and smoking for long periods of time.
