SUMMARY
The Plant Manager will provide strategic leadership for the manufacturing, procurement, and process improvement functions for all production and customer service activities. This role will work closely
with other functional leaders across the business to drive growth, profitability, productivity, and quality.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:*

  • Insure a safe work environment
  • Drive operational excellence in support of strategic plan.
  • Develop and implement performance objectives with countermeasures to ensure achievement of goals

with a strong focus on process orientation.

  • Manage and develop organizational talent to position organization for growth and succession planning.
  • Analyze and manage operational data to ensure organic growth and alignment of departmental priorities.
  • Drive increased effectiveness and efficiency through initiatives to ensure a high-performance organization.
  • Communicate effectively with the various functions within the organization.
  • Drive cost reduction, quality, and delivery to lead the marketplace.
  • Support new product launches.
  • Provide leadership for execution of operational excellence initiatives.
  • Provide site influence to assist corporate quality and regulatory compliance resources.
  • Facilitate process improvement initiatives across the organization.
  • Understand and recommend dynamic resource allocation.
  • Participate cross-functionally in strategic initiatives, planning & goal setting

  • *Responsible for budget setting and control for the manufacturing operations.

Complexity*
This position interacts with all plant and external functions; a firm understanding of Quality, Human Resources, and Corporate groups such as Procurement, Supply & Planning, New Product Introduction & EOL, R&D and Continuous Improvement. This role must understand how the business is run in regard to plant objectives and regulatory guidelines.

Key Outputs
1. Displays a high level of leadership and ability to influence key stakeholders.
2. Establishes and effectively manages plant budgets and objectives.
3. Assists in the development of business objectives and performance standards for all employees in the facility
4. Ensures proper people, processes, and procedures are in place and working to ensure good customer service with minimal
stockouts.
5. Insures the use of approved processes and procedures and oversees the timely and cost effective implementation of all new
product introductions, package changes, special projects, line extensions, etc.
6. Carries out all management responsibilities in accordance with Miraclon policies and applicable laws, including interviewing,
hiring, training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees
7. Addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
8. Responsible for plant programs such as Employee Safety and Environmental Compliance.
9 Performs other duties as required.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
1. Direction of product and plant operations and employee relations requires significant manufacturing knowledge as well
as advanced interpersonal and supervisory skills.
2. Strong leadership and experience in managing direct reports and leading organizations.
3. Good Microsoft Office skills – in Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Effective presentation skills
4. Practitioner of continuous improvement tools such as Six Sigma, Lean, Kaizen
5. Familiarity of ISO 9001 manufacturing processes
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced degree is a plus
  • 10+ years of experience in an Operational Leadership role
  • 5+ years of experience utilizing Lean Manufacturing / process improvement methodologies delivering

Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Cost improvement.

  • 6+ years of experience managing and developing associates into leadership roles within organization

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, and the demonstrated ability to work with and lead cross-functional

teams effectively; the ability to work through organizational barriers

  • Working knowledge (or better) understanding of Six Sigma, Lean, and/or Toyota production System methodologies
  • Superior communication skills
