Rebound is the largest orthopedic and neurosurgical practice in the Portland-Vancouver area with an array of sub-specialties including orthopedics, brain and spine care, sports injuries, physiatry, and physical therapy. We are looking to fill a full time Receptionists for our fast-paced Physical Therapy department. The locations of this position will be based out of our new Hood River, OR location (expected to open 4/1/2023). The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal, communication, problem solving, and decision making skills; Ability to work with a great deal of accuracy and attention to detail; Organizational and office skills, including data entry; Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the public. Strong attendance history and the ability to work independently is a must.

• Be alert and helpful to ensure patients find the appropriate office, exit, etc. and offer directions when needed. Assist patients (ie-getting the door, wheelchairs, etc.) as needed.
• Check in patients in a friendly and timely manner. Communicate potential appointment delays.
• Facilitate information collection as needed through verbal confirmation or use of forms.
• Confirm insurance and demographic information.
• Explain financial policies, privacy practices and the differences with contracted vs. noncontracted insurance companies.
• Promote use of the patient portal.
• Receipt processing for copays, deductibles, deposits and residual balance payments. Maintain cash drawer protocol at all times.
• Attends meetings and performs related work as required.
• Maintains a clean lobby environment.
• Alert supervisor and/or administration if suspicious persons are on the premise. Contact security as appropriate.
• If any office location is underutilized or closed, staff from the closed office may be required to travel to another office to cover.
• Project work as needed to fill downtime.
• Maintain a high degree of confidentiality and abide by all HIPAA rules and regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One to two years' customer service experience, medical experience preferred.
• Medical terminology desirable.
• Knowledge of healthcare insurances, payers, benefits and contracts preferred
• Excellent customer service skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively with patients and co-workers.
