DeMontrond Volkswagen of Houston is seeking to add a Pre-Delivery Inspection Technician (PDI Technician) to the Service Department team.

The PDI Technician readies and details the vehicle for customer delivery. The PDI Technician is also responsible for meticulous inspection, vehicle cleaning and detailing as well as overall make-ready preparation for customer delivery.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform pre-delivery inspections (PDI) on new units coming from the factory.
• Details the vehicle by cleaning new and used vehicles including washing vehicle exterior and vacuuming vehicle interiors.
• Perform detailed cleaning, as needed, of interior and exterior of vehicle including spot stain removal of upholstery, rugs and exterior surfaces; use special purposes cleaners and agents for desired results.
• Inspect vehicle interior and exterior thoroughly.
• Verify all accessories and options are functional (install if needed)
• Remove any shipping materials left on or in vehicle.
• Set radio, clock, compass, fuel economy readings
• Check and add all fluids as necessary - fill fuel tank to designated levels.

Requirements

• High School Diploma and GED
• Valid in-state driver's license and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record.
• Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles.
• Professional appearance.
• Demonstrated customer service skills.
• Previous industry knowledge is preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Exposure to inclement weather.
• Ability to operate an automobile.
• Prolonged periods of standing, stooping and bending.
