What You’ll Be Doing:
Payroll:
- Processes forms for payroll period including tax changes, expense reimbursements, pay change forms, benefit changes, 401K changes, garnishments, benefit catch ups, vacation adjustments.
- Compiles data for payroll and updates employee information in payroll system.
- Performs payroll calculations for adjustments and payouts.
- Provides payroll timecard approval training to new managers and adjusts timecard approvers in cases of hires, terminations, or job changes.
- Processes bi-weekly payroll in accordance with company policy and procedure.
Human Resources Admin:
- Assists department in carrying out various human resources programs and procedures for U.S. employees.
- Submits employee background checks and motor vehicle reports.
- Assists with reference checks and prepares new hire paperwork.
- Maintains and updates personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements, and files papers and documents into appropriate employee files.
- Processes enrollments, changes and cancellations for life insurance and 401K site.
- Completes monthly reconciliation for life insurance, health, dental, vision invoices.
- Processes termination paperwork for COBRA provider.
- Updates and manages information on company TVs.
- Prepares various weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
- Completes quarterly and yearly tax reports for various entities.
- Compiles data and assists with ACA reporting, CSOX audits, and other audits.
- Handles employment and wage verification requests.
- Tracks individuals eligible for referral bonuses as well as all garnishments.
- Codes HR expenses.
- Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Who We’re Looking For:
- Minimum two years job-related experience, preferably in a human resources department and/or payroll, and the equivalent of a two-year college degree.
- Familiarity with all local, state, and federal laws as they pertain to Payroll and Human Resources.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft suite of programs and including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Ability to manage time effectively, set priorities, multi-task, and meet deadlines.
- Effective team player with the ability to communicate well with many different groups.
Nice to Have:
- Previous experience using UKG for payroll and/or HRIS.
- Payroll certification.
- Previous experience processing payroll in multiple states.
- Benefits administration experience.
