Payroll Specialist (Full-Time)

Starting Wage: $5,125 monthly (Full Salary Range: $5,125 - $6339 monthly)

Island Transit seeks a self-motivated and qualified professional able to process the agency’s payroll and related responsibilities within the Administrative & Finance Department. The ideal candidate must maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.

This position is located at our state-of-the-art Operations & Administration facility in Coupeville, WA.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Associates degree in business administration, finance, accounting or related field, preferred
• Two (2) years of increasingly responsible payroll experience using automated systems
• Or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience that provide the knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform the job
• Supervisory experience, preferred
• Public sector experience, preferred
