Payroll Administrator Job at Omaha Steaks
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for all payroll processing assigned Company. Ensures payroll is accurate, on time and compliant with federal and local laws. Provides assistance to employees and managers with payroll-related questions.
AREA OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Process bi-weekly payroll for assigned company
- Uploads Kronos into ADP, enters miscellaneous pay adjustments and deductions.
- Reviews and balances preliminary wage reports and submits final payroll for ADP processing
- Communicates with employees and management regarding payroll related questions
- Monitors Kronos for missing punches and verifies exceptions report from Kronos system
- Enters new hire/terminations, PTO/holiday, salary and hours into Kronos
- Audits input from HR paperwork on new Hires, Terminations, rate increases and other miscellaneous changes
- Manages garnishments, answers interrogatories, sends notifications to employees, sets up deductions and balances funds distributed
- Performs additional payroll duties as needed
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- 4 year or equivalent in Payroll or Human Resources
- (FPC) Fundamental Payroll Certification or (CPP) Certified Payroll Certification preferred
- 2 years payroll experience processing payroll for 1,000 employees
- Experience in Kronos and ADP preferred
- Proficiency in Excel, 10-key calculator and ADP WFN Payroll system
