Essential Duties

• Assists all customers (retail and shop) in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.
• Supply all necessary parts to our technicians for Service Repairs.
• Informs customers of companion part requirements and specials and ensures that the customer is exposed to the full product line.
• Answers phone calls, providing price quotes and other information.
• Provides high level of service to internal and external customers.
• Pulls and fills orders from stock.
• Notifies parts manager of out-of-stock parts or shop materials that need immediate attention.
• Locates out-of-stock parts from outside source and submits an emergency order, if necessary.
• Ensures that all charge sales are signed by the customer.
• Ensures that all customers receive their copy of the invoice.
• Issues credit for parts returned, ensuring that the original invoice, or its number, is available so that purchase and pricing can be verified.
• Sets up orders for daily shipment, delivery or pick-up.
• Keeps front and rear counter areas clean and uncluttered.
• Cleans computer terminals and printers daily.
• Participates in all training programs that are made available.
• Keeps current on new products and product updates.
• Maintains professional appearance.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

• Prior experience or training a plus.
• Less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands and arms to finger, handle, feel, or carry; reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance or stoop; kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is “frequently” required to lift up to 50 lbs. The employee is “occasionally” required to lift up to 100 lbs. Must be able to safely tolerate heat in the summer and cold in the winter.
