Paralegal/Legal Assistant Job at Town of Holly Springs
Job Description
This position will perform a variety of complex paralegal support and administrative assistance to the Town Attorney"s Office. Position will conduct legal research including state and federal case law, statutes and legislation; prepare legal documents, including court filings and litigation related correspondence; review and prepare contracts, agreements, ordinances, and resolutions for attorney approval; schedule and arrange meetings for the attorney; assist the attorney in litigation of civil cases; establish and maintain a variety of files, records and reports; and perform a wide range of paralegal and legal secretarial duties as assigned. Position requires graduation from high school supplemented by progressively responsible experience in a legal secretarial or paralegal work. Bachelor"s Degree preferred. Prefer a Paralegal Certificate from ABA-approved program and experience in a law firm or professional office setting. The starting salary is $50,232. Open until filled.
