Painter Job at Cashman Equipment Co.
- Effectively clean and prepare earth moving equipment and/or components for painting to ensure high quality and cost effectiveness.
- Effectively mask and paint earth moving equipment and/or components, utilizing pressured spray painting equipment in a professional manner, in a minimum amount of time, to maintain cost effectiveness.
- Maintain proper levels of supplies, paints, primers, thinners, reducers, hardener, sand paper and blasting media.
- Comply with all OSHA regulations that pertain to the painting industry.
- Maintain and utilize work areas, tools and equipment to promote a clean and safe environment.
- Replace paint booth filters as needed.
- Clean blasting booth after every use. Sweep floor completely and vacuum edges and corners of floors.
- Maintain all Personal Protective Equipment as per OSHA regulations, i.e. masks, air compressor and air hoses, coveralls, gloves, safety glasses and hood.
- Always use caution when working on large/tall earthmoving equipment. Maintain at least 3 points of contact at all times.
- Work varying shifts and overtime as business needs arise.
- Adhere to company policies, procedures and regulations.

- Report any unsafe acts or conditions.
- Deliver Cashman’s “Best Customer Experience” for all internal and external customers on a consistent basis.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
- Familiar with Caterpillar parts and service publications.
- Trained and certified to operate equipment and a lift truck.
- Proficient computer technology skills, including ability to utilize company authorized software.
- Achieves customer satisfaction through quality painted parts and components.
- Completes job within allocated flat rate or allocated hours allocated.
- Effectively participates as part of team, leading and assisting where appropriate and requesting assistance when needed.
- Achieves a customer focus by delivering high quality, cost effective service.
- High School diploma, GED or trade school equivalent.
- Ability to read and understand materials commonly used in the product service and maintenance function (service and parts manuals, technical bulletins, and other related articles).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic ability to operate pressurized painting equipment.
- Must meet personal tooling requirements.
- Professional attitude and appearance consistent with position and responsibilities.
- Self-motivated and detail oriented, work with minimum supervision.
- Stand/walk 8 - 10 hours a day, and/or sit 1 - 2 hours a day.
- Frequently lift 50 - 100 lbs.
- Must use hands for repetitive simple grasping, pushing, pulling and fine manipulation.
- Must be able to occasionally bend, squat and climb, including the ability to ascend and descend ladders.
- Must use feet for repetitive movement when operating equipment controls.
- Must have agility and balance to safely climb on all machines.
- Must qualify to wear a respirator and all other safety equipment.

- Shop/warehouse environment with exposure to heat, cold, wind, rain, dust, dirt and noise.
