The Role
Responsible for overall operating performance within the Box Team with the willingness and motivation to work side-by-side your team. Works with Production Supervisor to streamline efficiency of production with emphasis on safety, food safety, quality, effective communication, and improving financial results. Oversees all process documentation, execution of improvement strategies, and training programs to assure consistency of operational tasks, cost reduction, space utilization and workplace safety. Trains, supervises, motivates, and develops team. Work as part of a team to prepare, cook, package, and ship goods.

Packaging Department

• Receives processed product, performs quality checks, and boxes into cartons for shipping.
• Tape cases and uses a hand jack to move pallets of finished goods to the warehouse for shipping.
• Operates machines to transport properly weighted pouched products to cartons.

Job Requirements:

• High School degree or equivalent preferred
• Experience working in a production environment, ideally with food or involving mechanical equipment is preferred
• Pays attention and strives to meet quality standards efficiently
• Strong work ethic and reliable
• Prior experience leading others preferred, but not required.
• Team player, building trusting relationships with team members
• Must be willing to work side-by-side with the team!

Physical Demands:

• Regularly required to sit, stand or walk for prolonged periods of time

• Regularly required to visually observe objects up close and at a distance
• Regularly requires hands to handle or feel and finger dexterity
• Ability to work in 38° Fahrenheit temperature and wet environment
• Regularly required to move heavy racking on rollers containing upwards of 1,000 pounds of product out of warm ovens, on and off scales and into cold chillers

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
