Lexington Home Brands is looking for an experienced Trimmer (Incentive Pay) in our Upholstery Operation in Hildebran, NC.

First Shift Hours: 6:00 am-3:30 pm Monday – Thursday & 6:00 am-10:00 am Fridays

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Lifts frame on bucks.
• Tacks cardboard, padding and upholstery material to top, side and bottom rails of outside arms, fitting and shaping materials to obtain specified contour using staple gun, staple puller, scissors and regulator.
• Tacks cover to bottom rails to enclose bottom area.
• Removes frame from bucks.
• Transports frames to and from work station.
• Responsible for fixing their own repairs before starting on new piece.
• Maintains neat and orderly work station.
• Wears required safety glasses; works safely and reports unsafe conditions to Dept. Supervisor.
• Performs other duties as required by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience/Education:

• Minimum two (2) years of trimming experience required.

Required Skills:

• Must be knowledgeable in upholstery methods and be able to complete quality specifications.
• Must be able to lift/remove frames from bucks. Frames can be in excess of 70 lbs.
• Required to use staple gun and scissors entire shift.
• Repetitive pinching/pulling of fabric/leather.
• Must be able to read tickets and job notes.
• This position requires manual dexterity, fine motor skills, and attention to detail to meet high quality standards.
• Must perform job with safety as a top priority.
• Must be able to show up to work on-time and take direction from supervisor(s).
• Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, and bend for nine (9) hours or more daily.
• Ability to get along with others and work in a team environment.
• Perform related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
