Headquartered in Congers, NY, with offices in Bloomfield, CT, and Guilford, CT., we provide field communications and services to many of the public safety and commercial users in these areas. Job Summary

We are seeking an outside account executive to develop new leads through telephone and face-to-face meetings to sell our services in the Southern NY and Northern New Jersey area.

Job Responsibilities

  • Sell services directly to businesses within your assigned industry verticals.
  • Telephone prospecting required to secure required in-person appointments.
  • Conduct sales presentations via phone, webinar, or in person to prospects that fit our target criteria.
  • Update our CRM tool regularly to keep management updated and to help keep your sales activities, responsibilities, and opportunities organized.
  • Adhere to all sales management policies.
  • Recognize and identify key decision makers and their roles.
  • Act as a field point of contact for existing customers.
  • Work closely with the operations team, marketing team, and management team to meet sales objectives in a specific territory.
  • Build and maintain a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads.
  • Communicate with customers and leads to identify and understand their product or service needs; identify and suggest products and services to meet those needs.
  • Demonstrate the functions and utility of products or services to customers based on their needs.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management; resolves any issues that may arise post-sale.
  • Maintain communication with existing and previous customers, alerting them of new products, services, and enhancements that may be of interest.
  • Maintain detailed reports of sales activities including calls, orders, sales, lost business, and any customer or vendor relationship problems.
  • Provide periodic territory sales forecasts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Travel as required.

Working Conditions

  • Ability to work our regular business hours (8 am to 5 pm) and occasionally before or after hours for trade shows and other job-related tasks.
  • Attend trade shows.
  • Work out of primary office as required.
  • Travel within the NY/NJ territory as required.

Required skills/Abilities

  • 3 years of proven outside sales experience in mobile or wireless communications experience with wireless carrier or manufacturer.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong multitasking, time management, and prioritization skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated and directed.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as an active member of a team and meet goals under deadline.
  • Acceptance of rejection and calm under pressure.
  • Exceptional communications skills (both written and verbal) as well as solid follow up skills.
  • Persuasive and goal-oriented.
  • Energetic, outgoing, and friendly demeanor.
  • Comfortable making cold calls and talking to new people.
  • Ability to ask the right questions and extract information in conversation.
  • Ability to develop, maintain, and nurture relationships with customers.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • CRM experience a plus.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Sales, Business, or related field OR
  • At least five years of related experience required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting in vehicle or at a desk, and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to travel and have reliable transportation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
