Oral Surgery Accounts Receivable Specialist - Tier 2
Company Description:
HighFive Healthcare in Birmingham is growing our Oral Surgery practice support and we are ready to hire a host of new talent. Our Center of Excellence (CoE) organization in our corporate office is equipped to centralize the referring dentist and patient calls for scheduling appointments, verifying patient insurance, and handling the billing processes with healthcare plans. The CoE works to ensure quicker turnaround times, better quality results, and exceptional patient care. We are searching for an Oral Surgery Accounts Receivable Specialist who will be responsible to ensure the billing transactions are processed timely and accurately.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Submit claims to insurance companies
- Research and examine claims
- Work denied claims and submit corrected claims
- Process outstanding claims reports
- Submit records and appeals as needed
- Post EFT, check payments, and credit card payments
- Set up primary and secondary insurance information on patient records
- Enter patient’s insurance information in practice management software
- Assist with insurance verification
- Prepare detailed patient out of pocket estimates
- Process insurance payments
Qualifications:
- Associates degree in business management, or related discipline (experience can replace degree requirement)
- 3+ years of oral surgery billing and insurance experience required
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Must be detailed oriented, accurate, reliable, and well-versed
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Punctual and willing to work in a team environment
- Follow protocols and guidelines as they relate to patient privacy (HIPAA/OSHA)
