Overview:
The Operations Manager reports to the C.O.O.. This position is responsible for the P&L. With direct responsibilities for Operations and Production Programs along with direct coordination with Business Development, Engineering, Quality Programs, Procurement, Safety, Research and Development, and Human Resources. The role will require effective cross-functional and collaborative teamwork to achieve business results.
Primary Responsibilities:
Operations:
Responsible for organizational development and long-term operations, sales and administrative development for business.
Have full management responsibility for all business operations (P&L and program performance).
Lead the business to meet annual stretch goals in quality, delivery and cost.
Acquire, align and prioritize resources and operational plans to support team and company objectives.
Manage the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives for both manufacturing and back-office functions.
Will need to understand the precast concrete characteristics and processes to make sure they follow in accordance with the Federal, DOT, NPCA, and other governing bodies.
Ensure NPCA (National Pre-Cast Association) quality control program is established, maintained and followed
Workforce planning
Proactively resolve technical, people, and production issues to ensure success of the team and consistent production of products while controlling and upholding the standards of the precast products manufactured.
Work with product management team on new product development, providing information and data related to product design & costs, capacity planning, product performance, tooling costs, and schedule.
Dispatch and customer service
Administration:
Develop and oversee administration functions of plant, including:
Safety, Human Resources, and training programs
Provide leadership across the organization for problem resolution to facilitate faster improvements and improved working relationships
Develop the talent in the organization that includes a strong succession plan
Initiate and inspire short-term and long-term planning efforts, including:
Set goals and objective for plant and assist subordinates to set goals and objectives
Communicate effectively and create environment that encourages and supports free, honest and effective communication
Knowledge/Skills:
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with customers and staff at various organizational levels.

Experience/Education:
Bachelors degree desired.
Five (5) years progressive management experience with a minimum of two (2) years experience in a Operations/Plant Management role.
Strong track record of delivering operational and financial results.
Experience in manufacturing or construction environment preferred
