Operations Analytics Engineer

Full-Time / Exempt

The Operations Analytics Engineer will support all omni channel merchandising strategies to enable the company's strategic, financial, and brand objectives. This role will help drive the cross-business initiative to establish a high impact data analytics practice by providing key business leaders with insights, programming, metrics, dashboards, and analyses. The Operations Analytics Engineer will serve as the lead analyst for TruckPro's product offering and support the broader Merchandising/Operations initiatives; it is a central part of the Merchandising team.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Partner with key stakeholders to set and analyze omni channel category strategy, identify opportunities for assortment optimization, measure impact from inventory efficiency analytics, and assess the financial impact of merchandising actions.
  • Leverage internal tools and systems capabilities to build high impact analytical tools/dashboards/reporting packages to model performance of strategic initiatives and promote operational compliance
  • Analyze merchandising strategies & tactics ensuring alignment to overall company initiatives to maximize profit and sales for specific categories.
  • Analyze and understand industry market trends, competition, products, margin opportunities, and communicate to management as necessary
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation within the Merchandising team by suggesting/implementing changes to current processes and strategies.

Successful Candidates Will Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Math, Finance, or Engineering is required.
  • MBA preferred
  • 5-7 years of work experience in a related field (analytics, sales operations, finance, planning) is preferred
  • Business manager mindset with drive for continuous process improvement (intuition and inquisitiveness)
  • Deep knowledge of Excel and data aggregation techniques required (beyond basic look-ups and pivot creation)
  • Working knowledge of SQL required
  • Experience developing BI reporting a plus (Tableau experience preferred)
  • High analytic and financial acumen with a desire to problem-solve
  • Ability to work through complicated problems with little direction
  • Capable of developing well-structured communications and presentations
  • Able to present complex information in an easy-to-understand manner with clear recommendations
  • Collaborative, goal oriented and flexible with a proven record in successfully engaging cross-functionally and driving results
