Job description: Nursing Adjunct Faculty

School of Nursing and Health Sciences

When: Summer 2023, Fall 2023, Spring 2024

The Manhattanville College School of Nursing and Health Sciences is seeking highly-motivated adjunct faculty who are interested in teaching in the Online Nurse Practitioner Program and/or managing site visits for Nurse Practitioner (NP) Requirements: Minimum adjunct faculty qualifications include: • Master's (or higher degree) in Nursing; • Current clinical expertise relevant to the course content or specific lab or clinical rotation; • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in New York State. Current national NP certification is required. Preference will be given to candidates who also have prior theory or clinical teaching experience and familiarity with BlackBoard (or a similar learning platform).

Qualifications:

•Required Degree(s): MSN or DNP with Advanced Practice Nursing concentration and certification in specialty area

•Required Field of Expertise: Advanced practice nursing and teaching in professional nursing program; FNP certification

•Required Training/Cert: APRN licensure & certification in specialty area; 3-5 years of experience practicing as an advanced practice nurse

•Required Licensure(s): Active APRN licensure

•Strong commitment to high quality instruction in a diverse, student-centered environment and the ability to work with students with various learning styles and backgrounds

•Interest in active and collaborative learning and enthusiasm for working in an interprofessional setting

•Ability to foster a collaborative atmosphere among students, faculty, and staff

•Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, Blackboard, and the use of instructional technology to teach traditional, hybrid or online courses as needed and serve as a resource for faculty using these tools

•Enthusiastic, committed teacher-scholar with demonstrated excellence in teaching and scholarship

•Contact information for three professional references (one of which must be a current or prior supervisor)

The clinical instructor will complete the required orientation for adjunct faculty.

Salary: $55.00 - $60.00 per hour
