The best way for kids to learn is by being in the classroom. Our Transportation Department is the key to ensuring the students of South Portland arrive safely and efficiently to their schools. We've learned that schools are a key social and emotional part of their lives; it makes sense that being able to assist in that effort would give great job satisfaction to those who do that important work. This position assists the Director of Transportation in many key areas of that process. Answering phones, working with automated bus routing software, assisting bus drivers; you are part of the team that keeps the proverbial wheels on the bus going round and round! This position has an impact and you can be that person. This is a school year position with work hours of 9:30 AM - 5:00 PM. Starting pay for this position is $20.46

Previous experience in an office setting and knowledge of Traversa (routing software) preferred.
