PACE Southeast Michigan provides care and services in the home, the community, and our day health center. PACE is currently hiring Nursing Assistants/Medical Assistants/Patient Care Technicians to provide supportive services to our participants at their homes in the Sterling Heights area.

• Personal care
• Assistance with activities
• Assistance with meal preparation/feeding
• Assistance with toileting/managing incontinence
• Simple treatments
• Maintaining personal care supplies such as incontinence supplies and personal grooming items in participants' homes
• Shopping
• Medication reminder
• Measuring and documenting participants' vital signs as instructed
• Laundry services
• Extended hours care
• Homemaking services/chores
• Transportation and off-site appointment support

Requirements:

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED
• One year of experience with a frail or elderly population. Experience must be in long-term care, hospital, or home care setting
• Reliable transportation available on a daily basis
• Completion of a health care program (nurse assistant/medical assistant/direct care worker/care technician)
• Must have the ability to transfer and assist with moving patients; frequent walking, bending, and lifting of forty pounds or more may be needed in the performance of duties
• Must be medically cleared for communicable diseases and have all immunizations up-to-date before engaging in direct participant contact

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 am - 5 pm

Pay: starting at $16.5 an hour, based on experience. $150 sign-on bonus.
