Lovely San Diego family (Carmel Valley) looking for a Nanny/Household Assistant to help a busy household with 2 kids (9yo girl, 12 yo boy) who are in school a good majority of the day. Must be an experienced, energetic candidate who knows how to run a household, be of help to a family and anticipate needs. Family would like someone who walks into the house with a smile and the kids are thrilled to see because of her loving, helpful disposition. A 2+ year commitment is required. Family does provide a vehicle for all driving purposes.

Pay: $27-$28 per hour DOE + additional benefits such as PTO, and paid holidays

Schedule:
Monday 9am to 6pm
Tuesday 11-5:30pm
Wednesday 11:30-6pm
Thursday 11-3pm
Guarantee of 30 hours a week

Primary responsibilities - first and foremost, creating an attentive and loving environment for the kids
Maintain family schedule and be a clear communicator
Assist with homework (4th grader will need HW assistance)
Help kids stay on task with school projects and keep Mom in the loop
Pick up/Drive to after-school activities. (NO TEXTING WHEN DRIVING)
Playing board games, joining in kitchen dance parties, going for walks/hikes, planning activities, playdates, arts and crafts
Helping kids to keep backpacks organized

Secondary responsibilities - household management
Meal prep and cooking easy dinners for family
Packing lunches and snacks as needed
Washing/Drying/Folding Family Laundry (Parents will put their laundry away and you will assist kids putting theirs away)
Dishes Load/Unload
Cleaning out the fridge as needed
Garbage (taking in and out as needed)
Organizing and tidying
Grocery shopping and errands as needed
Picking up mail from post office weekly
General tidying of home each day
Maintaining the children’s areas and ensuring items are stocked and organized

Must Haves:
COVID vaccinated
CPR & First Aid Trained
Education a plus
English speaking
Clean driving record, no DUI or DWI

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $27.00 - $28.00 per hour
