PURPOSE OF POSITION

Task and Responsibilities:

• Safely operate mobile cranes to lift, move, position and place materials and equipment
• Keeps aisle ways clear and unobstructed
• Perform pre-operational inspections, report any defects or needed repairs immediately
• Disassemble, travel and transport mobile cranes in a timely manner
• Adhere to Nortrak’s Safety, Quality and Environmental Procedures, Practices and Policies

Physical Demands:

• Sitting 8 to 12 hours per day
• Climbing 1 to 2 hours per day
• Prolonged periods of standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching or climbing.
• Use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms.
• Regularly lift and move up to 10-15 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 70 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Hearing abilities related to job assigned.

Job Requirements (e.g. education, experience, skills and desired competencies)

• High School graduate or GED preferred
• Forklift and Crane certification preferred
• Ability to read work orders, ITP’s, blue prints, rulers and tape measures
• Basic mathematical calculation experience in adding and subtracting whole numbers, fractions and decimals
