The Mission Critical National Fuel Consultant is an essential role for developing sales and building relationships within the critical environment industry. The candidate will work remotely but be located within the Northern Virginia territory to travel and visit customers nationally as required. A high degree of internal and external coordination is required, particularly with customers, the Mission Critical Fuel Consultant team, and the Foster Fuels executive team. This individual will work as a team with other Foster Fuels Mission Critical National Fuel Consultant team and Management across all locations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the sales pipeline to capture new business in Northern Virginia/DC Metro and surrounding area.
  • Target multi-location customers, within the critical operation industries, such as Data Centers, health care industry, financial sector, telecommunications, pharmaceuticals property management.
  • Work remotely but travel within the region and nationally to customer locations as required
  • Operate as the first point of contact for customer accounts and take calls from customers, negotiate contracts, prepare bid qualifications, respond to RFPs, quote prices, and close sales.
  • Work with CRM tools, such as SalesForce.
  • Be available to take and proactively respond to after hour/weekend customer emergency calls as part of call rotation. Identification and initial contact with prospective new customers through cold calling
  • Develop relationship with new prospects and where necessary visit to convert into an ordering customer
  • Provide back-up for other sales team
  • Serves as primary customer account manager for end-to-end responsibility for project and customer needs
  • Willing to work outside of normal job focus when required supporting Emergency Services Deployments and Fuel Quality initiatives

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 3 years of commercial sales experience, preferably in a critical environment industry (fuel, data center, electrical, HVAC, property management, power generation)
  • Knowledge of Northern Virginia/DC Metro area and locations of potential corporate data center and other customer
    locations.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field
  • Strong customer service and communication skills with Senior and Executive level Management.
  • Ability to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction within the current and future customer base in Logistic Sales, Emergency Sales and Fuel Quality Sales
  • Strong analytical and numerical ability.
  • Flexibility to travel as required.
  • A high degree of adaptability and the ability to work under tight deadlines with good organizational skills
  • Experienced proposal writing ability and alignment with management.
  • Track record of overachieving sales quotas.
  • 25-30% Travel required

Preferred Skills:

  • Previous experience in an organization using SalesForce.
  • Knowledge of the fuel industry and data center industry

  • Class B CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements would be a plus
