Here at Manifest Independence we provide support services for I/DD persons to live independently and be productive and valued members of the greater community. We are currently seeking a dedicated, reliable, and compassionate person to serve in our Med Manager role. Hours will be Monday-Friday, 10am-3pm. These hours can be flexible with more hours possible.
Job duties include, but may not be limited to:
- Corresponding with physicians, med assistants, DME, dental offices, and any other persons supporting our customers medical, dental, or mental health needs.
- Ordering, receiving, and distributing medications to customers per physician's orders.
- Scheduling and assisting in appointments to support customers medical, dental, and mental health needs. May require transportation.
- Reminders by phone for (some) customers to take medications.
- Skin checks as needed.
This position also requires:
- Great communication skills. Must be able to work in cooperation with the program director, supervisors, customers, and their staff.
- Ability to communicate in English
- Ability to adapt to changing developments in doctor's orders and customers needs.
- Basic computer/tech knowledge.
- At least one year of med aide experience
- A valid driver's license, current auto insurance, and a reliable vehicle. Transportation of customers is considered integral to this position.
- Ability to commit to our two week training program.
