Major responsibilities - Attending to the management of patient medical records - Attending to patient's paperwork when necessary - Admitting patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries - Acting as a liaison with patients and providers in a compassionate and kind manner - Maintaining phone calls within minimum rings and responding to inquiries in a detail-oriented and effective manner - Sustaining the organization of various files and providing general office duties, e.g. faxing, data entry, scanning, etc. - Ensuring the waiting and reception areas are kept neat and clean; reporting on any damage - Responsible for insurance verifications with health insurance organizations - Making appointments, collecting co-pays, and providing receipt of money in accordance with established procedures

• 1+ year of experience as a Medical Receptionist
• Knowledgeable of medical terminology and insurance products and plans
• Ability to handle multiple tasks to prioritize needs and expedite tasks upon request
• This position is best filled with someone with experience with insurance billing and an electronic medical record system, as well as social media platforms
• High School Diploma required, A.S. Degree in healthcare/related field preferred
• Skills in multi-line phone systems preferred
• Incoming phone call management skills desired
• Deep understanding of Direct Phone Calls
• Medical abbreviations experience
• Solid understanding of Epic EMR
• General familiarity with Microsoft Word
• Practical knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Experience with Basic Office Equipment
• Adeptness in navigating basic office equipment and protocols
• Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Outlook
• Command of Inbound Telephone Calls
