Amigo Mobility International, Inc. is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist to greet customers and answer phone calls in a friendly, professional manner and providing billing support services to customers, administration and other departments timely and efficiently.
Amigo Mobility International, Inc. is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist to greet customers and answer phone calls in a friendly, professional manner and providing billing support services to customers, administration and other departments timely and efficiently.
Job Duties:
- Greets customers in person or on the phone in a pleasant, professional manner, directs call to appropriate staff or communicates messages in a timely manner
- Assists with maintaining and documenting statistics for databases and outcomes and generating reports
- Responsible to maintain correspondence, files, and documents for Office Manager
- Follow up by telephone or mail on accounts past due to receive payment in full
- Maintain skills and seek self-improvement in computer skills such as: Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Outlook, Netsuite, Cortex (billing software) and others
- Follow-up with doctors, physical therapists, insurance companies etc. to assist in completion billing for sales and rentals
- Processing claims and invoicing equipment to be billed through insurance
- Explains to customers the required documentation for processing insurance claims including out of pocket expenses
- Support reducing A/R collections
Knowledge and Skills Preferred
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 2 years experience with billing durable medical equipment (preferred)
- Able to function as a polite, cooperative team member with a positive attitude
- Detail oriented, accurate, and possess general office knowledge
- Able to work independently, efficiently, with the ability to multi task
- Able to seek self-improvement to develop short-comings
