Medical Assistant
Type: Full-time, 40 hours
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 40 hours a week, hours subject to change
Pay: $18 - 20 / Hourly rate (commensurate with experience) plus benefits

The ideal candidate is an experienced Medical Assistant with experience in either spine care and/or orthopedics.
Responsibilities include:

• Prep room for provider and patient
• Patient intake and rooming - greet patient in lobby and escort to room
• Obtain height, weight, vitals, medical & family history
• Communicate with patients via portal emails, telephone calls, and one-on-one
• Provide patient education, schedule appointments, answer questions and triage
• Document patients’ lab and other testing results
• Suture and staple removal
• Draw and prep sterile injections
• Float within other specialties and areas

Position Requirements:

• Preferred to be a Certified Medical Assistant, but not necessary
• Must be adaptable, flexible, and able to work in different areas
• Must have a friendly and professional demeanor
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Must be comfortable with multi-tasking while paying attention to details
• Must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment
• Must be capable of working both in a team and independently
• Must be self-motivated to learn
