Position Summary for our Medical Assistant:

• Schedule: 8am-5pm, Mon-Fri
• Starting Pay: $19/hr.
• Location(s): Van Nuys Offices (near the Van Nuys Courthouse)
• Benefits Upon Eligibility: Medical and Dental (at no cost to you), Paid Holidays, Personal Days, Vacation, Sick Leave (10 days per year) 403 B Retirement Plan; 2% employer match after one year of employment

A day in the life of our Medical Assistant:

• Rooming patients
• Take and record vital signs, chief complaints and document reason for visit
• Perform venipunctures
• Administer injections, medications/vaccinations
• Apply/remove dressings and bandages
• Collect non-invasive specimens from both adults and children
• Assist patient in ambulation/transfer
• Perform simple lab test, such as read PPD skin tests
• Perform visual acuity/audiometric screening
• Perform finger sticks
• Obtain throat swabs
• Ear lavage
• Prepare consent forms as needed and required.
• Peform other Medical Assistant / Back-Office related work or procedures as needed.

Qualifications/Requirements for our Medical Assistant position:

• Medical Assistant certification, and minimum of 1 year experience in related field.
• EMR experience
• Current CPR certification
• High School graduate or equivalent
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish
• Selected applicants are subject to, and must pass, a full background check
• Must provide proof of up-to-date COVID-19 vaccinations including recommended doses in the primary series AND booster dose when eligible.
