For more than 94 years Adalet, a Scott Fetzer Company, has been an industry leader in the development and manufacture of engineered electrical enclosures & accessories for a wide variety of industrial applications. As TEAM ADALET continues to grow, we are looking for a talented and detail-oriented design engineer to join our team for our growing Electrical Enclosure Manufacturing Plant in Cardington, Ohio.

This is a unique opportunity to gain experience and grow your skills and knowledge with capital project involvement, new product development, process improvement, as well as manufacturing process implementation. The ideal candidate will own the sheet metal development and design process. As the design engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out a variety of engineering duties to include designing, researching, and prototyping new products.

The successful candidate will be very detail oriented and be proficient in drawing/detailing machined and formed components in both 3D and 2D. The ability to create assemblies in SolidWorks is also needed, as are basic skills with Word & Excel. Responsibilities:

• Research and draft blueprints, engineering plans, and graphics.
• Develop test prototypes.
• Identify solutions to improve production efficiency.
• Use design software to develop models and drawings of new products.
• Maintain existing engineering records and designs.
• Coordinate with other engineers, management, and production.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in design engineering, engineering, product design, or relevant field.
• 1 to 3 years’ experience in a similar role preferred but we are open to discussion.
• Recent graduates will be considered as will more senior level designers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and popular design software.
