Nationwide Boiler Inc. has an immediate employment opportunity for a Mechanic I
to perform routine maintenance and repair on boilers and related equipment at
Nationwide Boiler’s 25,000 sq. ft. fabrication facility, located in Fremont, CA.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

• Performs routine inspection and maintenance on boilers and auxiliary

• Completes appropriate maintenance/repair forms and records.

• Performs threaded pipe-fitting work on boilers and auxiliary equipment.

• Remove and replace components on boilers and auxiliary equipment.

• Performs refractory removal and assists in the repair or installation of new

• Assists other mechanics or electricians as required.

• Keeps work area clean. Sweeps and puts shop tools back in their proper

• Performs routine maintenance and/or repair work on shop equipment.

• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Basic knowledge of boilers and/or related mechanical equipment.

• Basic skill in pipe-fitting preferred.

• Welding and fit-up skills preferred.

• Ability to perform routine maintenance.
  

Equipment Operated

• Ability to properly utilize basic hand tools and shop equipment.
  

Preferred Requirements (entry level encouraged to apply):

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• One (1) or two (2) years previous experience in pipefitting or boiler

Salary Range: $20 - $35 per hour

This position reports to Senior Mechanics and / or the Shop Superintendent,

and is located in Fremont, CA. Must be flexible to work weekends as needed.
