3rd shift | M-F | 8pm - 6:30 am

$14.50 Starting Hourly Rate + $2.00 Shift Premium

Job Description


Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials to support manufacturing activities in the facility. Duties include maintain accurate records of all materials received, inspect shipments, and reconcile packing slips with actual items and verify that materials are inventoried and properly stored. Identify and transport material to and from storage areas and loading docks into and off of trucks.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Verify accuracy and maintain records of all incoming shipments of merchandise or material received into the facility and maintain appropriate storage of items.
  • Verify accuracy, maintain records and ensures proper loading procedures for all outbound shipments to our customers.
  • Position encompasses a variety of job duties that include palletizing, strapping, verifying pallet counts, maintaining production inventory counts, making boxes and stretch wrapping finished goods in preparation for shipment and other tasks related to production and inventory control as required.
  • Move material within manufacturing areas utilizing lift and hand trucks and other material handling equipment; promoting safety in all that is done.
  • Assist in monthly inventory of raw materials and finished goods. Assist in the absence of Shipping and Receiving coordinator.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe storage area.

Job Requirements:

  • High School or GED
  • Must possess an understanding and knowledge in the operation of or ability to operate assigned material handling equipment and to read and understand operating instructions.
  • Must be able to obtain onsite Forklift certification
  • Ability to operate inspection equipment
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and ROI system; when required by location
  • Physically able to handle material weighing up to 50 pounds in a safe manner
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work

Work Environment:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential duties and responsibilities of this position, within typical manufacturing plant working conditions. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes, airborne particles, climate variances and moving mechanical equipment typically found in a manufacturing environment. The noise level in the work environment (office) is usually low, but much higher when exposed to the manufacturing areas. Combination of office/desk time and warehouse/laboratory time. Some travel may be required to construction jobsites or fabrication plants. Certain personal protective equipment is required when in laboratory or manufacturing areas. Warehouse can be warm during the summer.
