Marketing Assistant Job at Geotechnology
Overview:
Geotechnology, a Universal Engineering Sciences (UES) Company, has an opening in our Marketing department. UES is a nationwide leader in Geotechnical Engineering, Construction Materials Testing and Inspection, Building Code Compliance, Environmental, Occupational Health & Safety, and Building Envelope.
Under the supervision of the Marketing Manager and Business Development Vice President, this position executes varied services for the Company and the Market Teams. Responsibilities include business development, marketing functions, and special projects as assigned.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develops SF 330 forms in response to government procurement opportunities. Periodically updates SF 330 form for submittal to governmental agencies. Assists with annual updates and pre-qualification information for numerous agencies and clients
- Develops client-specific Statements of Qualifications and presentation packages to requests from clients and professional staff.
- Assists with writing text and producing graphics materials for proposals in response to RFPs.
- Updates and maintains files of all marketing materials and revises materials periodically to keep them current. Researches and drafts project descriptions and designs new project profiles.
- Updates the Company website and/or Company intranet in regard to the information on Company’s projects experience, news items, etc.
- Assists in writing; designing and production of advertisements for publication in newspapers and magazines.
- Assists with writing articles, obtaining photography, coordinating design and production of client newsletter, GeoBlast, and sending newsletters to clients. Assists in writing and producing quarterly in-house Company newsletter The GeoGram.
- Assists with updating social media outlets, i.e. LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter.
- Assists with the completion of award entries throughout the year.
- May assist with vendor relations for purchasing and the distribution of various marketing items for the branch offices.
- Production of PowerPoint presentations and videos as needed.
- Photograph various company events including company outings, organizational meetings, tradeshows, and career fairs, as well as various project sites as possible.
- Assists with providing our parent company, UES, with articles and company news, and photographs for public relations.
- Assists Marketing Manager with conducting long-range market research and planning for potential new clients/firms and market segments which have been strategically identified.
- Contacts potential teaming partners in response to RFPs.
- Reviews local, state, and federal websites, newspapers, and other sources for procurement opportunities.
- Assists with staffing exhibit booths during trade shows to develop client relations; maintains and updates exhibit booth graphics as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or related fields
- 2+ years of related experience
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Microsoft Office required
- Experience with WordPress and Deltek Vision software is considered a plus
- Must possess good oral and written communication skills, the ability to organize and prioritize work, and work with all levels of management and employees in a team environment.
