Elliott Bay Marina is the west coast’s largest privately-owned marina providing moorage facilities for boaters from around the Puget Sound. We offer world class amenities and facilities just minutes from Downtown Seattle. We are currently seeking a position with our Facilities Maintenance Team.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs minor carpentry, painting, pressure washing, and plumbing repair services.
- Provides the highest level of customer and guest services, expedites any requests from facilities management and harbormasters office.
- Carries out routine cleaning duties that meet established quality standards for all marina related operations.
- Assists all Dockhands in marina related duties such as securing boats to docks.
- Routinely operates the motor and water vehicles and other various mechanized equipment.
- Complies with instructions or duties as may be reasonably assigned.
- Maintains the appropriate standards of conduct, dress, hygiene, uniforms, and appearance.
- Provides customer service, including polite conversation and performance of reasonable customer requests.
- Inspects all maintenance/shop areas regularly to ensure compliance with EBM’s highest standards of cleanliness.
Required Qualifications and Qualities A positive attitude combined with the ability to communicate fluently and relate well to customers in the leisure environment, and the ability to execute the tasks given by marina managers.
- Critical thinking and common sense.
- An eye for detail in all aspects of work.
- Familiarity with boats and the ability to swim are not critical to the function of the job but would be desirable attributes when working in a marine environment.
- Reasoning Ability Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to manipulate, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk, hear and smell. The employee may regularly lift and/or move 50 or more pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions (extreme heat and cold). The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but in some circumstances may be very loud. PPE should be worn at all times when needed.
- Drug test is required for this position.
