Manufacturing/Staple Machine Technician Job at Paragon Medical - Bridgeport
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following, but not limited to:
- Observe all safety rules and regulations including wearing and maintaining personal protective equipment. Maintain work area in a clean and safe condition
- Operates equipment in a safe manner
- Participate as a member of work teams. Assist in measuring team performance for safety, quality, delivery and cost. Work with team members, other business functions,to continually improve these measures
- Maintain production as Staple Loading Operator on assigned machines (minimum 3 machines per operator)
- Assist in trouble shooting assigned machines as intstructed
- Communicate in a timely manner to toolmaker and lead person of any difficulties with assigned task
- Must be able to maintain and make adjustments to automatic staple making and loading machines.
- Must be able to make tape changes, wire size changes, wire jams, and positioning requirements as needed.
- Must be able to inspect staples using graphic charts and optical comparator .
- Participates in Level 3 activities such as scrap and rework elimination projects along with various other kaizen events.
- Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products.
- Perform microscope inspection on assembled parts.
- Maintain inventory of product in work stations.
- Perform quality work checks to insure the product meets quality standards.
- Identify product defects, complete inspection and appropriate documentation when defects are identified.
- Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.
Experience
Preferred- 1 - 2 years: Have worked in a manufacturing environment
Education
Preferred- High School or better
