Job Description:
WHAT IS THE ROLE?
The Manufacturing Engineer I assists in the planning and designing of basic manufacturing processes in an industrial plant.
WHAT WILL THE JOB LOOK LIKE?
On a typical day, you can expect to...
Assist with the application of basic engineering principles to perform routine design, fabrication, modification and evaluation in support of manufacturing operations.- Help with conducting analyses or tests of a routine degree of complexity pertaining to the development of new methods, materials, processes or standards and provide recommendations accordingly.
- Assist in the preparation of plans, process specifications and procedures, production aids and assembly fixtures, MRP support studies, factory cost work standards and assignments of similar complexity.
- Assign work to drafters and technicians as needed.
Qualifications:
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Required Qualifications:
Requires a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.- Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology.
- Familiar with analytical and CAD software.
- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
