Manager, Thrift Shop Job at Holy Redeemer Thrift Store
Holy Redeemer Thrift Shop in Warminster is seeking a Manager of our Thrift Shop to be responsible forthe operational and financial success of the Redeemer Health Thrift Store. Operational activities include creating an exceptional experience for customers and donors as well as an effective productive team environment for employees and volunteers. Additional operational activities include: assuring the store's daily readiness for retail operation and donation intake; maintaining quality of merchandise as well as training, scheduling, and supervision of staff and volunteers. Financial responsibilities include budgeting, generating and boosting sales, accountability of cash register (POS system), and all revenue and loss prevention. The Store's success is measured through the achievement of financial objectives and a daily business operation that is both smooth and efficient.
RECRUITMENT REQUIREMENTS:
· Minimum of 3 years of thrift/retail management experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience, a Bachelor's degree is a plus
- Entrepreneurial mindset and prioritization skills
- Exceptional communication skills
- Ability to create a strategic plan for business development and implementation
- Strong leadership and decision making skills
- Excellent customer service and relationship management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, cash register (POS) equipment and software and familiarity with a database contact manager program
LICENSE AND REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS:
· Annually renew the Thrift Store's permit with the Pennsylvania Department of Labor under Act 249 (Bedding and Upholstery Law)
· Assure the Store adheres to the sanitation stipulations of Act 249 for the sale of upholstered furniture
· Valid Driver's License
