Responsibilities:
In your role, you will:
Provide direction and supervision to assigned department staff in areas of contracting, contract management and providers relations.
Educate stakeholders and staff and provides expertise in physician contracting procedures, compensation modeling, and contract implementation.
Recommend and implement work-flow processes for daily operations, evaluating and redesigning policies, procedures and standards to ensure department efficiency.
Manage and oversee the master contract list. Review and ensure contract agreements are accurate.
Assess interdepartmental processes around contract management and provide recommendations on efficiencies and process improvement.
In conjunction with the Director, lead the annual budget process and ensure accurate physician contracting dollar amounts are represented across the hospital system.
On a monthly basis, review financials pertaining to physician contracting spend and provide recommendation, as needed.
Interface with officers of legal and compliance operations to ensure contract language is standardized and updated to required standards. Qualifications:
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, Business Administration, or related field required
Master's Degree in Healthcare, Business Administration, or related field preferred
Experience
5 years in progressively responsible contracting experience or related field (i.e. auditing, compliance, legal) required
Contracting experience in a large hospital, multi-hospital system, or related preferred
