The DURABLE MEDICAL EQUIPMENT (DME) MANAGER will lead the Product Specialist and Customer Service Teams, ensuring that every representative is fully trained on product knowledge and all aspects of insurance. The role involves overseeing these teams with various roles, as well as regular interaction with other departments, including but not limited to sales, billing, supply chain, and warehouse. This position is required to lead, manage and hold all direct reports accountable. The Manager directs and coordinates the activities of the Medical Equipment Division to ensure optimal customer satisfaction and adherence to compliance. The Manager is responsible for ensuring and improving the performance, productivity, efficiency, and profitability of departmental and organizational operations through the provision of effective methods and strategies.
Requirements:Full knowledge of DMEPOS product categories including industry and product knowledge as well as insurance requirements.
Lead, manage and hold all direct report employees accountable in all product categories.
Plan, direct and coordinate the activities of the Medical Equipment Product Specialist and Customer Service teams to ensure optimal customer satisfaction and adherence to compliance.
Ensure and improve the performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability of department through the provision of effective methods and strategies.
Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures through regular store management and staff meetings, store walk-through, reporting and audits, etc.
Recruit, train and develop their team in all aspects of the business; direct and monitor training and development for all department personnel. Hold team accountable to training goals and metrics.
Ensure that each patient/customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of customer service.
Analyze and measure business trends; develop and implement plans to maximize sales and meet or exceed goals and objectives.
Controls shrink expenses and payroll.
Facilitate new processes, tools, communications, training and methodologies to ensure sales program's success across teams.
Serve with other departmental management to facilitate relationships among members of the various departments and locations in order to achieve the organization's goals and objectives.
Collaborate with marketing/outside reps, billing, purchasing, warehouse, and the leadership team to facilitate new programs, messages, campaigns and offerings.
Applicants Must Haves:
PROOF OF VACCINATION IS REQUIRED TO BE CONSIDERED
- 1 year experience in DMEPOS industry
- 5 years’ experience managing and leading teams to exceed goals
- Ability to multi-task with multi-dimensional team on a daily basis
- Knowledge of medical insurance and the durable medical equipment industry
- High energy and willingness to learn and progress
- A Positive CAN-DO attitude
- Excellent customer service skills
- Sales-minded mentality
- Professional demeanor and strong work ethic
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Experience working with aging population a plus!
