Job Summary and Qualifications

The Manager Burn Services assists the Director with the operations of the department. The Manager ensures that patient care is provided according to policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of services. The Manager is also responsible for staffing a sufficient number of qualified and competent persons to provide care and assures the qualifications and competence of those staff members meet the needs of patient care services. The Manager also oversees orientation, in-service training, and continuing education of all persons in Burn Services. Other duties include being responsible for interviewing and selection, retention, disciplinary actions and terminations of department employees in conjunction with the Director and Human Resources. The Manager maintains 24 hour accountability for the direction, supervision, coordination, and evaluation of activities and services of the Burn unit.

What qualifications you will need:

• Education: graduated from an accredited school of professional nursing required; BSN required or must be enrolled in program and completed within 2 years
• Licensure/Certifications: Must hold a current GA RN license or eNLC license required; current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required (AHA or Red Cross)
• Experience: 3+ years of acute, critical care nursing experience required; 3+ years of leadership experience highly preferred
