Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Responsible for providing a high level of maintenance support for all equipment in the manufacturing process, including maintaining equipment in all areas.
- Ensuring manufacturing lines are well-maintained and ready to run during planned production time.
- Providing on time completion of projects/assignments.
- Constant monitoring during production to spot and solve issues before they affect production.
- Providing a high level of troubleshooting ability to repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Providing service on an emergency basis, including overtime, weekends and during plant shutdowns.
- Become familiar with corporate specifications and plant SOP’s governing the operation of the manufacturing process and local GMP.
- Adheres to all plant safety rules and directs others in the proper application of plant safety.
- Equipment set up, adjustments and runnability.

Qualifications
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required, technical certifications a plus
- 3 to 5+ years of manufacturing experience
- CGMP: 1 year (Prefered)
- Nutraceutical/Food: 1 year (Preferred)
- Encapsulation/Blistering: 1 year (Preferred)
Language
- Proficient skills in reading, writing, speaking and comprehending in English.
- Spanish (A plus).
Skills
- Ability to read and understand electrical, mechanical and pneumatic drawings.
- Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Well-developed troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to develop a good understanding of programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Must be able to work with limited supervision, have strong teamwork and communication skills, both oral and written, good documentation skills and practices, strong computer skills, customer oriented, work safely and effectively under stressful conditions.
- Basics in MS Word, MS Excel and CMMS Google sheets/Docs.
- Desire to broaden knowledge and improve skill level.
- Routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers/tablet, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
- Comprehend equipment manuals, information regarding hazardous chemicals and all equipment instruction, warning signs and decals.
- Familiarity with using a multimeter and basic understanding of how to read electrical schematics.
- Basic understanding of how to read pneumatic schematics.
- Proficiency working with welding equipment and processes.
- Knowledge of thread sizes and ability to use tap and dies.
- Knowledge of both metric and standard units of measure. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- The Maintenance Mechanic utilizes working knowledge of all packaging equipment, set-up and repair to troubleshoot and make major repairs to packaging equipment.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 100 lbs. on a regular basis.
- Must be able to lift up to 150 pounds on a periodic basis.
- Repetitive motions with hands, wrists, turning head, bending at knees and waist.
- Walking throughout the entire plant, crouching, stooping, laying down, crawling, sitting, kneeling.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time (8 hour shift).
- Most work is performed in a production(clean room) / warehouse environment.
- Frequently exposed to a variety of extreme conditions.
- Required to use Personal Protective Equipment necessary for the various environments.
Work Schedule & Benefits
- Typically, M-F, 6:00AM – 2:30PM; willing and able to work additional or flexible hours when needed.
