Mechanic – Millwright Class A or AA-1a

We currently have multiple day shift openings in our Mill. Day shift hours consist of 7AM-3:30 PM. These hours are subject to change.

Set-up and operate lathes, drill presses, grinders, metal working tools to make and repair parts to dimensional specification; need to have experience in all aspects pertaining to welding s/s, steel, cast iron, aluminum, etc.; alignment of equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, squares, rulers, dial indicators, micrometers, plumb bob, and transit, etc.; rigging - be able to move machinery and equipment using hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks; ability to construct foundations for machines using hand tools and building materials such as wood, cement, and steel; machine and equipment installation - interpret layout plans, blue prints, schematic drawings and determine work procedure; Know how to identify different types of bearings, how and why they are used in certain applications and their correct installation methods. Also, be able to set tolerances in bearings and gear assemblies; ability to troubleshoot mechanical equipment, pumps, valves, hydraulics, pneumatic systems, etc. and have knowledge of proper lubrication practices; be able to perform the physical aspects of the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation (lifting, pulling and climbing which a mechanic is required to do); can work as a team member with salaried and hourly people and follow all safety and plant rules; perform any other mechanical, electrical, etc. work required of the mechanical classification as may be needed or assigned. Applicant will accept training on equipment as the need arises and be willing and able to perform all work as determined by management. Employee must be available for overtime and call-ins.

Base Rate: $30.61/hr. or $32.04/hr.
