We are seeking skilled candidates to join our production team* as "Mill Hands"*.

The ideal candidates will have some mechanical or maintenance experience, excellent communication skills, strong self-motivation, and a high degree of mechanical aptitude.

Description

A Mill Hand is responsible for helping to maintain our granular production plant, operating hand tools, and assisting in repairing equipment.

A working knowledge of motors, bearings, forklifts, front loaders, mills, conveyors - are all relavant skills. Welding experience is also a plus.

• Daily duties may vary; and will be assigned by Foreman / Supervisor.
• Clean up material and maintain plant grounds
• Help manage and perform repairs on crushers, conveyor systems, screen decks.
• Perform mechanical and lubrication preventative maintenance.
• May operate equipment such as: forklifts, front loaders, water trucks, pneumatic air tools, and small mobile equipment.
• Comply with all OSHA and MSHA safety regulations
• Maintain clean and hazard free work areas and equipment
• Perform other duties as required

Minimum Qualifications

• Basic time management skills
• Basic knowledge of hand tools
• Strong work ethic and communication skills
• Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable mode of transportation

Preferred

• Any experience in Mill mechanical/maintenance or a combination of education and experience in industrial mechanical repair and maintenance or warehouse

• Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English.
• Ability to communicate clearly, in English, with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards.
• Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment.
• Work is performed in a manufacturing plant setting, which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity, moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, toxic chemicals, fumes or airborne particles.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, and work on elevated platforms.
• Personal protective equipment is PROVIDED and required when performing work outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment.
