San Gabriel Mission High School (SGMHS) is a college-preparatory Catholic high school located on the historic grounds of the San Gabriel Mission. In the Dominican and Claretian traditions, our faith-driven community provides a safe environment for young women to grow as spiritual, intellectual, creative, and athletic leaders. SGMHS is seeking an English teacher to begin the Spring 2023 semester with our 12th grade students in their Women’s English as well as with the rest of the student body in various administrative roles. This individual should have a solid foundation in English, be a seasoned teacher with an exceptional handle on classroom management, and have administrative skills to aid the rest of the community in curriculum/instruction as well as discipline. SGMHS’s goal is to ensure a smooth transition to guide us in a successful beginning of the Spring 2023 semester.
Requirements
Qualifications:
BA in English or related field required
Teaching credential preferred
2-3 Years of Teaching Experience required
1-3 Years of School Administration Experience preferred.
Proven ability to work and communicate well with faculty/staff, students, families, and other stakeholders is required
Upon hiring, completion of the ADLA employment packet which includes Virtus Training and fingerprinting is required.

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range.
