About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking Loan Documentation Associates to join the Loan Sales Assignments Team in either Minneapolis, MN, or West Des Moines, IA.
This team is responsible for moving loans from Wells Fargo to investors in the secondary market. Work performed by this team is a combination of loan research, to ensure a complete file, and assignment creation.

In this role, you will:
- Participate in reviewing, assembling, creating, and executing mortgage loan documentation
- Prepare mortgage loan files for assignment
- Work under minimal supervision in a fast-paced, team environment
- Address basic issues related to loan assignments
- Create loan assignments to move loans from Wells Fargo to investors, following company, regulatory, and investor specifications
- Communicate by phone with the county as needed
- Receive direction from leaders and exercise independent judgement while developing an understanding of function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
- Have no direct customer contact

Required Qualifications:
- 6+ months of Loan Documentation experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Previous experience working with mortgage assignments/title changes
- Teamwork skills including the ability to work together to achieve business, production, and quality goals
- Mortgage document familiarity
- Knowledge and understanding of the county recording process
- Ability to assess issues, make decisions, and solve problems
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to be flexible, adjust quickly to meet changing business needs, and adapt to changing priorities while maintaining composure
- Solid independent and critical thinking skills
- Mortgage industry experience
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience making adjustments based on state, county, pool, and/or investor specifications
- This position requires compliance with all mortgage regulatory requirements and Wells Fargo's compliance policies related to these requirements including acceptable background check investigation results. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and required reporting of certain incidents.
