Line Cook Job at 1885 Grill St. Elmo
1885 Grill (St Elmo location) is looking to hire 2 solid line cooks for our busy restaurant! We are a southern coastal restaurant specializing in fresh seafood, quality steaks and southern sides. We are located in the St. Elmo neighborhood at the base of the Incline Railway and Lookout Mountain. We are looking for 2 full time line cooks. Some line cook experience is necessary to be successful for this role in our kitchen. We like to create serious food but in a laid back atmosphere.
Line Cook Expectations:
-Ensuring the preparation station and the kitchen are set up and stocked.
-Preparing simple components of each dish on the menu by chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and preparing sauces.
-Reporting to the executive chef and following instructions.
-Making sure food preparation and storage areas meet health and safety standards.
-Cleaning prep areas and taking care of leftovers.
-Stocking inventory and supplies.
-Cooking menu items with the support of the kitchen staff.
Line Cook Requirements:
- Some Experience/Knowledge of cooking.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Aptitude for multi-tasking.
- Must be able to work cooperatively and efficiently in a team
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must have good time management skills
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.50 - $20.00 per hour
