The Glenridge on Palmer Ranch is located in Sarasota, Florida. Sarasota is one of the nation’s top retirement destinations with white-sand beaches, exquisite restaurants, art galleries, shopping, golf and tennis, and an abundance of cultural activities. The Life Plan Consultant is responsible for calling and cultivating leads, answering basic questions, setting appointments, qualifying leads, conducting tours, and closing sales for independent living homes and apartments at the Glenridge on Palmer Ranch (GPR). The Life Plan Consultant is also responsible for assisting the Director of Life Planning in successful planning and execution of marketing and sales events as assigned. The Life Plan Consultant provides a high level of customer service and relationship building with prospective members and referral sources.

Qualifications:

· Must have at least a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Gerontology or a related field. A Bachelor’s degree in a different field may be accepted with at least five (5) years of proven experience in sales.

· At least three (3) years’ proven experience in marketing, business development or public relations as well as experience in high-end, intangible, long cycle, relationship-based sales desired. Experience with Medicare, long-term care insurance sales and/or CCRC sales, preferred.

· Thorough knowledge of professional sales concepts and management practices.

· Working knowledge of all activities related to sales in a continuing care retirement community preferred or must be willing to gain and apply additional training in CCRC sales and management practices.

· General knowledge and understanding of the physical and psychological needs of the senior adult population

· Proficiency in understanding of computer software as it relates to the job.

· Excellent decision-making and analytical skills.

· Excellent communication skills and problem-solving skills.

· Excellent organizational and time management skills.

· Must be empathetic, enthusiastic and have an affinity for working with a diverse senior population.

· Must be well organized and can work with limited direction, take initiative, and can plan and carry out responsibilities, organizing own schedule and duties to complete responsibilities.

Essential Job Functions:

· Responsible for establishing and maintaining prospect database to track all lead activity in community CRM.

· Makes follow-up calls to the prospects as assigned and notes the information obtained in the conversation in database in a timely manner.

· Works with Director of Life Planning in establishing daily, monthly, and annual sales goals and reports as required.

· Responsible for meeting or exceeding established sales goals.

· Effectively communicates with prospects to convert as many leads as possible to sales interviews.

· Schedules follow-up calls, written communications, and other touch points with prospects as established by policy and procedure.

· Effectively interviews all assigned drop-in prospects and prospects from whom appointments have been secured and closes as many of them as possible.

· Corresponds with prospects as may be necessary to close the sale.

· Accurately finishes all required electronic and written forms in a timely manner and follows all procedures necessary to keep prospect and member information in orderly fashion.

· Maintains contact with depositors through closing to keep the sale until the prospective member responsibility is transferred satisfactorily to GPR operations managers in accordance with established procedures.

· Uses good judgment in determining needs of the company and in maintaining information delivery in conformance with recognized standards; and is expected to understand and follow all regulatory and facility policies.

· Keeps current on all changes in their area of responsibility, particularly regulatory changes as they relate to CCRCs, skilled nursing, assisted living and other applicable clinical services as assigned.

· Uses good judgment in determining the needs of prospective Members and current Members and working with the different departments and in maintaining delivery of those needs in accordance with recognized standards; and is expected to understand and follow all regulatory and facility policies.

· Maintains confidentiality of Members’ PHI (Protected Health Information) and medical records information as well.

· Other various duties as assigned.

Performance Conditions

Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday, occasional bending, or squatting. Frequent use of keyboard, frequent repetitive motion; frequent writing; frequent grasping, holding, and reaching. Performs light physical work, frequently exerts up to 10 pounds of force and up to 30 pounds on an occasional basis.

Communicates effectively, both orally and in writing. Carries out detailed written or verbal instructions. Makes mature judgments, functions independently, is flexible, has personal integrity, and works effectively with GPR personnel, Members, and the public.

Well-lighted, ventilated work area. Congenial, friendly atmosphere with emphasis on respect for each other. Subject to frequent/regular interruptions. Deals with Members, families and other interested parties, personnel, the public, vendors, and/or contract personnel and regulatory agencies. Requires occasional weekend, evening, or night work, if needed. On-Call on an as needed-basis.
