The Worcester County Developmental Center (WCDC) is looking for an LPN to join our fast-paced medical team. The LPN will work collaboratively within the medical team to provide day-to-day care for community-based clients who attend our arts and activities-focused day program. The medical department, led by the Delegating Nurse Manager, also ensures compliance with DDA, OHCQ, and MBON regulations.

Hours: Monday – Friday 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Requirements:Job Responsibilities:

• Handles the day-to-day operations of the day program – assessing individuals with disabilities to determine the extent of injury or illness and the level of care needed.
• Assist in developing methods for coordinating nursing services with other individual services to ensure continuity of care.
• Collaborate with the team to identify and respond to a wide range of physical and mental health needs.
• Performs such duties as, but not limited to, administering prescribed medications, monitoring vital signs, obtaining specimens for laboratory testing, and assisting in physical examinations;
• Document and maintain required records, reports, and individual health records on clients and as directed, keeps the medical team or other designated personnel informed of same.

Education:* Unencumbered Maryland LPN license or multi-state compact license required.

Qualifications:*

• At least 1-2 years of prior nursing experience is preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience with team collaboration and employee engagement.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and results driven.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment.
• Ability to multitask and remain flexible as your day may quickly and without warning shift in an unexpected direction.
