This is a Non - Exempt position: 35 hours per week. $60,000.00 per year

What you'll do in this job:

Evaluate, recommend and implement an individual social work counseling program for individuals seeking services or those already attending Coarc programs, ensure services are provided in accordance with the individuals needs and with the intent of developing independence and choice within the scope of their skills and abilities.

As part of your role you will:

• Conduct diagnostic assessments
• Deliver social work services in accordance to regulatory standards and stated recommendations, deliver services in the program, residential and/or community settings
• Act as an advocate promoting concepts of individualization, inclusion, integration and independence
• Complete all documentation requirements within the timeframes required
• Participate in the assessment process for determining an individual's ability to give consent for sexual activity and complete suicide risks assessments as requested.
• Instruct and oversee program staff in the methodologies to be used in various settings to ensure consistency as appropriate, work collaboratively with other program staff to ensure individuals stated goals are being met
• Provide collateral services with family members or other service providers to ensure consistence in social work services, provide training to program staff as requested.
• Maintain all required certifications and licenses and participate in required training courses and scheduled staff meetings.

What we need from you:

• Master's degree in a field related to social work
• Experience working with people with developmental disabilities preferred
• NYSED Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LMSW or LCSW)
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to be certified in all required trainings
• Occasionally required to lift up to 25 pounds
